The Media Relations & Content Manager is are responsible for driving the positioning of the Divisions as a leader in Automation and Digital and accelerate our position in Sustainability in key trade and business media. Furthermore, you are the Division spokesperson and responsible for crisis management. Reporting to the Global Marketing Communications Manager.
Your responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and managing Media and Content strategies and annual plans, in alignment with Division objectives and priorities to help grow the business.
- Establish processes and best practices to optimize presence in both trade and business media, in collaboration with the business area (PA) and Group Media and PR teams.
- Responsible for customization and tailoring of group message and themes such as Sustainability.
- Apply the ABB message framework to ensure Divisions’ customer pain points are addressed and understood by multiple stakeholders.
- Identify key wins, successes, case studies, and technology applications - highlight them by producing strong and creative content including thought leadership articles, press releases, and web articles.
- Establish strong relationships with trade media (including print, web and digital) to raise visibility and improve presence around key topics of interest.
- Ensure that all incidents are handled with minimum negative impact to the organization and the ABB brand.
Your background
- 10 years experience in Marketing, Communication, or Public Relations in a large organization and in a management role.
- Undergraduate degree, or higher, in Marketing, PR, or other relevant disciplines.
- Ideally, you will have a journalist background.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to develop content for a wide range of communications channels to effectively deliver the appropriate message.
- High attention to detail, editing, proofreading, and tailoring content.
- Ideally experienced in campaign management, online communications, tools to measure PR effectiveness, and explaining technology in an easy and engaging way.
- Strong business partnering, collaboration and communication skills, with experience of managing internal and external relationships with senior stakeholders.
