ABB AS, Power Systems division, is the local provider of plants and systems in Norway for the whole range of electric power supply, waste incineration plants and water supply. In the field of protection and substation automation, we offer solutions for the control and protection of high-voltage plants. To strengthen our team in this area, we are looking for a competent project engineer for station control systems based on MicroSCADA, RTU560 and COM600 with IEC61850-8-1 standard as well as upgrading of installed base systems with LON and SPA protocols.

Design and programming of control systems
Tasks:
Assist the project-manager with time-scheduling and HW purchasing.
SW-installation. Prepare required documentation and technical customer documents (base-design). Engineering of applications for station control with Gateways, HMI and Communication. Cooperation with our team for IED-engineering to establish the dataexchange between bay-level and station-level. Cooperation with our team for electrical design regarding design of the Computer cabinets. Engeneering and testing of NCC-interface. Prepare testprotocols for SA-systems. Perform IAT and FAT with Norwegian customers in Oslo. Commissioning and SAT in substations all over Norway.
Prepare final documentation and archiving of backups. Service and maintenance or installed base.
Requirements
- Electrical engineering degree from college/ university.
- Relevant experience from energy industry is preferred with focus on:
- engineering of automation and control systems
- service and maintenance
- commissioning
- Scandinavian language (swedish, danish or norwegian) fluent and English is required.
Interpersonal skills: analytical, communicate effectively, customer orientation, structured regarding engineering and documentation, highly motivated and team-oriented.
Travel activity in Norway is required during project execution.
