We have been working with pipelines & subsea engineering for more than 30 years, and we have a highly specialised and dedicated team in Denmark. We are currently establishing a new SURF engineering team at our office in Skøyen, Oslo, Norway – and are looking for the right people to help us make this a success as well.
Project member to gain expert knowledge on one or more disciplines
You will become part of our SURF engineering team. Our teams typically comprise 5 – 10 members working on a project from a few months to several years. You will work within the various disciplines involved in pipeline & subsea design as part of your continuous development within the department.
Your primary task will be to define methods for solution, perform analyses and design document calculations. Depending on your experience, training and field of specialisation, you will be working within one or more of these engineering disciplines:
- Routing and mechanical design of pipeline systems
- Structural finite element analyses
- Design of pipeline components and protective structures
- Design of subsea production systems
- Design of subsea structures and valves
Each project has its own variation of specific tasks and as a senior engineer you will work within your expertise and field of interest. You will also be responsible for ensuring that your expert knowledge is shared with more junior profiles, ensuring that they grow and learn as well.
Furthermore, growth is one of our focus points, and on the short term we are looking into opportunities to establish pipeline & subsea engineering teams in the Middle East, Norway and Russia. On a longer term we will further expand, giving opportunities for travel and expatriation if desired. This means that 5-10 travels days a year must be expected, and that e.g. Secondment to other Ramboll Oil & Gas regions will possible for shorter or longer term after 2-3 years in Ramboll.

On top of your pleasant and professional attitude, we are looking for a person who also has:
- M.Sc. Engineering within relevant area (e.g. Structural or Mechanical Engineering)
- Min. 10 years of experience from a similar position and with practical experience from a construction site or offshore
- Extensive knowledge of pipeline design, subsea production systems, Finite Element Analyses in e.g. ANSYS
- Expert knowledge of numerical solution methodology in e.g. MatLab
