The Telenor Group Brand Management is a part of Group Industrial Developement and its role is to strengthen Telenor group and business unit competitiveness through a strong utilization of leading strategic tools, concepts and competence within the brand and marketing arena. The Brand Management team work close with both Telenor Group and its business units with strategic brand, market and segment insight. The team has a clear role in the industrialization of strategic marketing at Telenor, and a strong focus is placed on developing, conducting, analyzing and reporting of group-wide concepts like SMART, BrandTracker and Telenor MAP.
We are hiring to strengthen our competence in market segmentation and are looking for a person with a proven ability translate data into actionable insight, a good understanding of the strategic issues facing the telecom industry and a solid understanding of market research methods. You are good at stakeholder management; and demonstrate strong interpersonal and project management skills. You must have the ability to initiate and drive processes from start to end. You have a structured and analytical approach to the tasks and a problem-solving mindset. You are independent and able to coach others.
Work place will most probably be Bangkok.
Job description- Develop, conduct and facilitate the implementation of market segmentation for Telenor BUs
- Consult with BUs both on a strategic level and in relation to research issues
- Cross BU market research
- Methods development and refinement
Qualifications- Strategic understanding of the telecommunication market
- Understanding of marketing and segmentations role in marketing
- Knowledge of strengths and weaknesses of different types of segmentation
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Good presentation abilities.
- In depth knowledge of basic statistical methods and procedures – variable treatment, washing of data sets, outlier and missing handling, descriptive procedures, etc.
- Good working knowledge of inferential statistics, e.g. ANOVA, linear, logistic and multinomial regression.
- Good working knowledge of exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis
- Good working knowledge of clustering methods.
- SPSS is a central tool so good knowledge of this package is necessary.
- In depth knowledge of business software (exel and power point)
