We are looking for: Mechanical Completion (MC) Engineer.
Responsibilities and tasks:
- Plan and perform Final inspection of equipment and documentation according to requirements before handover to customer
- Ensure installation and assembly is in accordance with drawings and contract specifications as well as ready for handover in a safe manner
- Assist to ensure traceability of documents
- Find and report gaps to laws/regulations, standards and specifications
- Follow-up of Non Conformance Reporting in relevant areas, as required by Area Manager
- Maintain the electronic MC documentation system and equipment status in SAP
- Assist technical-, procurement- and workshop departments with regards to defining quality & documentation requirements for products, modifications and repair
- Cooperate with Q Surveillance, Q Control, Project and Engineering to enable Final Delivery from Site to the Client
- Travel to Sub-Suppliers' premises in order to perform necessary product control when required
- Continuously work to improve work processes
- Advice support area on quality issues
- Ensure work is carried out according to Aker Solutions Health & Safety regulations as well as our ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certified management systems
- Report to QM Area Manager on status and important events regarding work progress
- Alert project managers on deviations from current contract
- Follow-up, inspection and review of work to be performed in accordance to relevant requirements regarding:
- new products
- repair projects
- modifications
- re-certifications
- Assist projects with risk management follow up and participate in gate reviews
- Maintain good communication and working routines with support area/organisation
- Position has authority to initiate necessary actions in order to ensure that responsibility area delegated from QA Department /Area Manager is attended to
This includes, i.a.:
-Agree and hold meetings with Clients regarding MC issues
Authority to stop work which deviates from Quality Requirements
Qualifications & personal attributes:
- Bachelor degree with Technical Subjects or Technical College degree, compensated with long relevant experience
- Relevant oil and gas branch experience regarding offshore/onshore technical business processes
- Be proactive, flexible, independent and have well-developed cooperation skills
- Have a solid understanding of the Quality and HSE profession
- English oral and written (professional level)
