The department of Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) is part of Aker Solutions' Front End Delivery Center and we are a global owner and provider of solutions, technology, products and services within the area of Carbon Capture. We are offering modularized capture plants; "Just Catch" and "Big Catch" - larger and integrated capture plants. Our amine-based capture technology can be verified for specific industrial sites using our Mobile Test Unit (MTU).The MTU is a small scale CO2 capture plant comprising all key elements found in a commercial carbon capture plant. The small scale makes it easy to modify in order to test new features and applications and also to transport for testing with an existing flue gas source. Aker Solutions has gained extensive operational experience during long-term testing on real flue gases worldwide. The MTU has been operated for more than 20 000 hours in USA, Scotland and at various locations in Norway.
