Aker Solutions' Global Product Management department in Norway is responsible for design and development of next-generation subsea control systems, electrical actuators, condition and performance monitoring and general electrification of subsea products. The department has the full design ownership of the subsea electronic product portfolio and is responsible for product development, prototyping, qualification, maintenance and product releases within the product portfolio. The department is a spearhead within the company for developing new technologies, methods and enabling digitalisation.The department consists of three units; Product Architecture & Test, Hardware Electronics & Mechanical, Product software. We have a well-equipped lab with test equipment and tools for prototyping and testing, which enables early verification of concepts and technical solutions. Manufacturability and testability are ensured through close collaboration between our product development, test development and industrialisation teams. The current development framework includes Git, Jenkins, Coverity, Jama, Redmine, Crucible and Robot Framework.Responsibilities and Tasks:To strengthen our Product Software unit, we are now looking for a talented and inspiring manager. As manager for the Product Software unit you will lead a team of ten embedded software specialists and a team of six application software specialists. You will have the responsibility for developing the group's competences and methodology to meet the market demand. The Product software unit is responsible for developing and sustaining the embedded software platform supporting the product portfolio, in addition to sustaining and further develops the condition and performance management system.
