The newly integrated Exploration (EXP) business area represents an exciting centre of expertise and career development. Our ambition is to position Statoil as one of the world’s leading exploration companies. By identifying, evaluating and accessing high potential new acreage in priority basins, we prioritise the drilling of more high impact wells in growth and frontier basins. Efficient new operations on the Norwegian continental shelf are also key to boosting our exploration results.
The Exploration business area is responsible for Statoil’s global exploration portfolio and for delivering commercial oil and gas reserves. The portfolio covers all of Statoil’s exploration activities from initial screening via capturing of new acreage and drilling up to the feasibility study of our discoveries. The strategy and business development organization is responsible for establishing and implementing the corporate exploration strategy and consists of the three units: economic valuation, strategy and portfolio and commercial and negotiations.
Commercial and negotiations provides commercial support to the Exploration business area, and is responsible for executing transaction projects (acquisitions and divestments) related to Statoil’s exploration licenses in line with the overall exploration strategy.
As business analyst in commercial and negotiations you will support projects and management in reaching our business objectives. The position will involve significant interaction and exposure internally, and will provide an excellent entry to a career in Statoil.
The commercial and negotiations unit is organized in three resource pools in Stavanger, Oslo and London supporting all exploration units globally.
