Kongsberg Maritime AS is strengthening our Human Resources (HR) management team in Norway. We are looking for a Senior HR Advisor / HR Manager for our Merchant Marine, Simulation, IT/IS and Customer Support business units in Horten, Norway.

The position will support the business units and line managers by conducting and facilitating best practices in human resources management, enabling the organization to hire, motivate, reward and retain quality staff and adapting organisations to business needs. The main scope of work will be recruitment, organisational development, performance management, training and execution of personnel policies. Because we have you on board, the HR function is perceived to be business-oriented, efficient and supportive.

You will be part of the local Merchant Marine management team as well as the global HR organization in Kongsberg Maritime, and report to the Senior Vice President of HR, QM & HSE.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Support and advice managers in their day-to-day operations
• Recruitment and onboarding
• Organisational development and training
• Talent and performance management
• Prepare and execute local HR & HSE plans and activities according to budgets and objectives
• Local execution of other generic HR & HSE processes and procedures within the framework of Kongsberg Maritime
• Contribute to the continuous development of Kongsberg Maritime’s HR&HSE policies, processes and systems
• System updates, reporting and communication with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business or HR with relevant major(s)
• Operational and/or line management experience
• Extensive HR background, preferably from the maritime or offshore industry
• Professional certification and profound knowledge of HR and HSE processes
• Documented knowledge and user-experience with relevant systems and tools

Personal qualifications:

• Customer-oriented mind-set and good understanding of business
• Practical and analytical skills with documented ability to execute and deliver
• Self-driven and able to find effective solutions
• Team-oriented with good cultural understanding
• Excellent communications skills, both in writing and orally
