Orkla Home & Personal Care is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Communications Director with a flair for business and leadership to drive and oversee all components of the company's communications work.
This position will be a strategic partner for the CEO and senior management in OHPC. You will join the team at an exciting and decisive moment while it is undergoing a transformation to become the #1 Home & Personal Care company in the Nordics and in selective International markets/categories. The Communications Director will be the driving force for developing a communications approach that amplifies knowledge and visibility about the company’s role and impact in society, in business, and in the lives of the consumers who experience our brands and products every day. Sustainability is a key focus, and you will have the opportunity to define and execute a communications strategy that brings our agenda to life and conveys its importance. As an engaging and highly competent person, you will invigorate a dynamic organizational culture, inform and inspire employees. The position reports to the CEO and is part of the company's top management. In addition, there will be close interaction with the management of Orkla Health and the Orkla Group’s central communications department.
Primary responsibilities:
- Drive development and implementation of a proactive communications strategy that supports the company's strategy and growth ambitions in the Nordics and beyond
- Build and attend to OHPC’s profile with close attention to sustainability
- Create meaningful dialogue with organizations, governments, partners and customers
- Expertly handle proactive and reactive media communication. Be the company's public face in the media, and facilitate communications in controversial issues
- Strategic use of various communication channels and instruments in order to set the agenda and convey OHPC’s role, contribution, and activities
- Internal communication to build a common corporate culture, inspire and inform
- Play a leading advisory role for the entire company with Nordic responsibility and catchment areas
Who we are looking for:
Alongside strategic and operational communication experience, including deep experience with media and stakeholder management, you possess and can demonstrate the following:
- A huge desire to have an impact and a clear track record of delivering value and results
- A strong commercial understanding, the ability to formulate a cohesive strategy and set a compelling vision
- Good knowledge of and demonstrated achievements in using digital channels
- Strong relationship-building abilities with good network of contacts in relevant external environments
- High focus on getting things done operationally and is ready to pitch in at whatever level is needed
- Strong linguistic skills, both oral and written. Fluent command of at least one Scandinavian language and English
- Relevant higher education
- Experience of matrix organizations. Work experience across the Nordic countries is preferred
- Knowledge of the grocery industry will be an advantage
