Elkjøp Nordic søker Financial Controller

This is an excellent opportunity to join Nordics leading mixed electrical retailer as a Financial Controller. The position offers excellent career progression and the right person will have the opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience from Norwegian GAAP to IFRS, preparation of annual accounts to group reporting including hedging, consolidation, balance sheet reviews, contact with service center and local finance teams.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The main purpose of the job is to ensure accuracy in reporting across systems in compliance with accounting standards, local law and group accounting policy. The Financial Controller?s role is to ensure that internal control requirements are in place and that reporting requirements and deadlines to Dixons Carphone plc are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support in overseeing that accounting is done according to accounting standards, national laws and group accounting policy.
• In-house specialist in Accounting (IFRS and local GAAP)
• Supporting and preparing audit reviews and balance sheet reviews of the Nordic consolidated level
• Help ensure that all financial reporting and consolidation is done in a timely manner and with appropriate quality to management and Dixons Carphone plc
• Take initiative and support workgroups to ensure compliance with legislation and/or improve the reporting process within the Nordic Finance department
• Superuser in Hyperion Financial Management
• Support preparation of local annual accounts for Norwegian entities
• Preparation of half year and year end reporting packs to Dixons Carphone
• Preparation of Fraud- and stock loss reporting
• SSB reporting
• Hedge accounting
• Contact with auditor and responsible for preparation of documentation

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Nordic consolidated reporting in compliance with IFRS
• Local reporting in compliance with local laws and standards in each country
• Consolidation accuracy
• Reporting accuracy
• Meeting reporting/implementation deadlines

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• High interest in systems
• Experienced user of Hyperion Financial Management and SAP
• Good understanding of general accounting and IFRS
• Strong analytical skills
• Systematical and ability to deliver reliable results
• Able to take initiative and take responsibility
• Ability to work under pressure
• Effective
• Confident user in excel
• Strong interpersonal skills

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in Accounting/International Business or similar at University level (Bachelor/Master in business administration)
• Documented Experience from an audit firm/accounting department or similar in an international business environment (2-5 years)
• Ideally experience from retail business
• Very well written and spoken command of Norwegian/Swedish/Danish and English

Elkjøp Nordics head office is currently located in Lørenskog. From august 2017 the headoffice will move to Nydalen, located 100m from Nydalen metro station.
