We are looking for a Well Log Analyst to work in our Interpretation Centre in Stavanger, Norway. Experience of cased hole log analysis, well completion design and production engineering principles is required. Candidates will have an analytical approach to problem solving, good communication skills and the desire to work as part of a growing team.

Job Description

Our log analysts provide expert service and support in all aspects of the analysis, interpretation and reporting of well log data for Archer Wireline Interpretation Services.This role will be required to:

• Provide day-to-day log analysis and data handling functions in the Interpretation Centre
• Provide expert analysis and interpretation of log data products to colleagues and clients
• Support planning and development of well logging projects
• Participate in training/seminars/demonstrations about well log analysis for clients and for internal staff
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of analysis techniques and products
• Provide technical support to Operations, Sales and R&D within Archer's Wireline logging services

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in geoscience, petrophysics, petroleum engineering or similar
• Knowledge of well completion design, reservoir and production engineering principles and cased hole logging
• A minimum of three years' experience in corrosion and/or production log analysis is required
• Experience with industry log analysis software packages and well integrity logging is preferred
• Candidates will have an analytical approach to problem solving, good communication skills and the desire to work as part of a growing team.

Location

The Log Analyst will be assigned to the Interpretation Services Centre, located at the Archer Wireline Operations base in Dusavik, Stavanger. There may also be a requirement to visit and work at other company locations.
