Group Chief Accountant/Konsernregnskapssjef - NORBIT ASA NORBIT

The Group Chief Accountant will play a central role in a growing company with high ambitions. In the position you will have the responsibility to build and develop a strong accounting function in the company and be the primary point of contact for our external accounting providers globally. NORBIT is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange, and you will be responsible for periodical IFRS reporting. In the role, you will cooperate closely with the CFO and interact with the broader organization.

Main tasks and duties

• Lead the accounting and consolidation activities within the Group
• External reporting to Oslo Stock Exchange and related reporting to corporate
  management and board
• Streamlining and developing systems for financial reporting to increase efficiency
• Identify and improve internal accounting processes, routines and controls
• Be a key person in questions related to financial and accounting issues, especially in
  matters related to IFRS
• Coordinate tax and transfer pricing work
• Participate in various controlling activities, including processes related to budgeting and forecasting
• Support the company’s growth strategy

Qualifications

• Education: MSc or MBA. Preferably a state authorized public accountant
• Minimum eight years work experience
• Strong accounting skills, in particular with IFRS and consolidation
• Analytical skills and IT/system competence
• Good communication skills in both Norwegian and English are a prerequisite

The role reports directly to the CFO.

Workplace is in Trondheim.
