We are now looking for a self-driven and structured Head of Finance to strengthen our growing team and activity level. Your experience in startups, scaleups or companies involved in developing hardware solutions will be highly valued. Both senior and junior candidates are welcome to apply; responsibilities can be tailored.
As our Head of Finance you will be central in further developing our systems and routines to support our growing activity level and organization. You will get a unique opportunity to shape your own role within the company and work closely with the top management team running our daily business.
We practice both flexible working hours and place of work. We have our Norwegian office at Aker Brygge in Oslo and our Spanish office in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and you are welcome to work from either location. The position as Head of Finance is a full-time, permanent position. A part-time position can be an option in the beginning, if desired by the candidate.
As our Head of Finance you will report to our CEO Kristine Bangstad Fredriksen.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Responsible for improving and developing our financial controls, policies, routines and reporting mechanisms
- Manage day-to-day finance operations and cash management
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Provide insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Responsible for preparing regular internal and external financial reporting, including to the European Commission
- Manage the engagement with accountants, auditors, banks, tax authorities and other relevant stakeholders
- Contribute to securing financing through private capital, public funding and other relevant financing mechanisms
- Support our CEO in dialogues with investors and our board of directors
We are looking for a person with some of the following qualifications:
- Master’s degree in finance and/or accounting. Relevant work experience can substitute formal education
- International mindset and a willingness to work in a diverse team
- Proactive hands-on doer mentality
- Good communications skills in Norwegian and English. English is our main workplace language. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Strong skills in MS Excel
