Group Accounting Manager AKVA group

The position as Group Accounting Manager in AKVA group have the overall responsibility for the group’s consolidated accounts, including follow-up of subsidiaries. We are looking for a candidate with strong accounting expertise and a structured approach to problem-solving. Excellent collaboration skills and ability to build strong relations across the group are essential to succeed in the role. You are self-going, can drive initiatives and are motivated by creating results together with your colleagues. The position reports to Group Controller and will be part of the Group finance management team.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, finance handbook and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Responsible for internal control procedures as well as internal audits
• Personnel responsibility for shared accounting service personnel at the main office
• Oversee, coordinate, and supervise the daily operations of the shared accounting service and accounting departments in subsidiaries
• Ensure the group complies with all IFRS requirements regarding financial reporting and participate in assessments of complex accounting maters
• Participate in strategic financial projects, including implementation of new ERP solution
• Contribute to establishment of ESG reporting
• Coordinate annual statutory financial statements and tax returns
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure an efficient audit process
• Contribute to continuous improvements of processes and routines

Experience/Qualifications:

• Higher degree in accounting, finance or audit, preferably State Authorized Public Accountant
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience from similar company structures or audit companies
• Strong IFRS knowledge
• Insight and understanding of tax and transfer pricing
• Proficiency in English is required, both written and spoken
