To strengthen our team for administrative systems, we are now looking for a Product Owner who can function as a system expert within both HR and Financial applications. You will be part of the administrative systems product team that aims to ensure that HR and Finance can deliver its services across all Varner companies in 5 different countries.
As a Product Owner, you will work together with the product team and our business counterpart as the subject matter expert on HR systems. Due the rules and regulations in the different countries we operate in, the system portfolio is complex and requires a structured approach to maintenance, operations, and new projects together with the business.
Your key tasks and responsibilities:
- Be the go-to person for the process implementations, integrations, and systems for all HR and Payroll processes for the countries Varner operates in.
- Responsible for the operation, development and daily maintenance of an application, application area or area for functionality.
- Participate in projects for further development of functionality in the area.
- Training and support of end users / super users.
- Testing and rolling out new functionality in cooperation with the business experts.
- Keeping your system skills up to date and contribute to knowledge dissemination.
- Document the processing of tasks in relevant tools and contribute to continuous updating of system documentation.
- Be a backup resource on other systems, and support in those areas if possible / needed.
- Focus on the customer (and the employees in the stores) to find the right future-oriented solutions.
- Maintain a roadmap for your product portfolio which would include minor and major upgrades, strategy discussions, maintenance windows and decision points for renewals.
- Participate in the management of suppliers and contractors involved in system and service deliveries.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Higher education, preferably in finance, HR or technology, relevant training and/or extensive relevant experience will be considered.
- Expert level knowledge of HR system integrations; both on an architectural and technical level.
- Broad knowledge of HR systems, including of-the-shelf systems and home-grown solutions and integrations for hiring, document management, workforce management and other systems related to the hire-to-retire process.
- Broad knowledge of Payroll systems. Agresso and/or Agda would be beneficial, but not required.
- A positive, structured and solution-oriented approach towards business users and stakeholders, and that can be both system expert and advisor towards the business on matters relevant to the system portfolio.
- Experience from moving services within the domain to the cloud will be beneficial, but not required.
- Ability to cooperate with other Tech experts and management in cross-functional initiatives, as well as engage with suppliers of services and systems for operational tasks and initiative deliverables.
- Experience from a retail environment will be beneficial, but not required.
- Strong drive to maintain and develop knowledge within the domain.
