Our factories are to be located in the Mo i Rana industrial complex in Northern Norway, leveraging Norway’s highly skilled workforce and abundant, low-cost renewable energy sources in a crisp, clear and energized environment. The company will supply sustainably produced, cost competitive battery cells to the rapidly growing market for electric vehicles and energy storage in Europe and globally. We will also develop other markets in marine transportation, aviation and offshore oil.

Freyr AS are hiring an IT / ERP Officer in Mo i Rana

Freyr will be one of Norway's fastest growing organisations. We are growing into a workforce of over 1500 in two to three years' time. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for candidates who want to be part the first battery cell factory in Norway.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The IT/ERP Officer will be responsible for the reliable performance of our IT/ERP systems for our production plants in Mo i Rana.
The position reports to Head of Controlling, IT & Admin Mo i Rana.
Main tasks include:
- Troubleshoot and resolve ERP system issues
- Participate in projects relating to design, configuration and testing the implementation of our ERP system
- Monitor IT & ERP system performance and usage
- Maintain security and reliability of IT / ERP systems
- Coordinate new software releases, fixes, upgrades
- Provide recommendations to changes/configurations/workflow based on user feedback
- Provide reports as required
Qualifications and experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience of working in a similar role
- Good working knowledge of data and IT regulatory compliance in Norway
Advantageous:
- Familiar with implementing ERP systems in process industry

- Strong business acumen with a keen focus on IT risk and opportunity
- High level of integrity particularly around commercially sensitive data
- Excellent written communication skills and ability to present information to a range of stakeholders in English
- A proactive and pragmatic approach to solving business challenges relating to IT / ERP systems
- Self-driven with the ability to perform well both individually and in multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams
- Ability to analyse and act upon complex data
- Good planning and organisational skills, with attention to detail
- Good digital competence and proficient in standard Microsoft 365 applications
