We are now looking for a Senior Technical Manager responsible for Technology Development & Digital to improve our Supply Chain.
Key highlights of the role:
As Senior Technical Manager with responsibility for Technology Development & Digital, you will be part of the C&S Operations team.
C&S Operations team support Business Area (BA) and Supply Chain (SC) management team in C&S to drive larger efficiency and improvement programs within the areas of manufacturing efficiency, capability, network & BA projects, technology development & digital, and financial & strategics. You will be working closely with colleagues in the Business Area and Business Unit Operations teams to achieve targets and deploy capabilities. In addition, you will work closely with Orkla IT to develop digital solutions aligned with other BA in Orkla.
We believe your key capabilities will be Industry 4.0 solutions, digital tools, smart automation, predictive maintenance, etc. to create best in class manufacturing processes by improving machine efficiency, reducing conversion cost and increasing flexibility to meet customers' needs.
What will you be doing?
- Deliver larger efficiency and improvement programs within the areas of manufacturing efficiency and technology development
- Design and implement a digital assessment according to Industry 4.0 to provide new and high potential projects in technology portfolio
- Responsible for developing BA C&S Industry 4.0 strategy/Technology strategy for SC
- Plan, organize and steer Operations projects to be the consolidating force and topic expert in projects carried out in Business Areas (BA)/Business Units (BU)
- Identify potential value creating projects across/together with the BUs and raise to COO/VP Operations to include in short- and long-term strategy and project plans
- Be responsible to deliver targeted impact on time in projects according to set plan
- Develop and improve the cost-out methodology and agenda
- Lead and motivate a team of BA/BU Operations resources both in and outside projects
- Deliver on the Operations part of C&S BA Strategy and M&A projects
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Master/Bachelor degree in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) or equivalent within relevant field, together with work experience with strong track record from role on level applied to
- 3+ years of experience in the field of advanced analytics in Supply Chain within Industry 4.0 and digitalization
- Strong proven track record of leading projects, teams or transformation programs where stakeholder management was a clear component.
- Experience of implementing proof of concepts in the area of analytics, smart manufacturing and shop floor IT solutions
- Project management and planning skills, preferably within operations improvement projects.
- Cooperative mindset that can motivate a project team to deliver on project targets and to take ownership of future operations
- Excellent leadership style with strong communication and presentation skills.
- Commercial mindset, business understanding and ability to drive dialogue with key stakeholders
- Fluency in at least one Scandinavian language plus English.
- Traveling will be required in the role

The role of Senior Technical Manager reports to VP Operations Orkla C&S.

Primary office location in one of our locations in the Nordics, traveling required.
