We are looking for students who fit into different roles in an interdisciplinary product team:
Product Manager:
Your job is to be the point of contact for the team, the one who makes decisions when things get difficult - and to ensure that you have good motivation and progress as a team! You should be a leader without being a boss. The expertise we are looking for here is an understanding of both technology and business, and that you have a customer-oriented approach to every issue.
Developers:
The Magicians of Vipps MobilePay. Those that turn ideas into code, thus simplifying the lives of our users. Frontend, backend, platform, app - we do a bit of everything here.
UX and service designers:
The UX designer's most important role is to design good and comprehensive user journeys that our users love, while the service designer prepares concept recommendations, identifies new opportunities and validates this with users and customers. The designers will collaborate on insight work and work directly with developers and product managers all the way, from concept until the solution is out in production. You will be hands on in Figma, facilitating design sprints and user testing.

At Vipps MobilePay, it is the team that defines the product, not just the product manager alone. In addition, we believe that a good dose of humour and sincere curiosity are perhaps some of the most important things we have with us at work every day!
The summer student teams are put together by people with both capacity and desire to work across cross-functional teams towards a common mission.
Of course, we believe that everything can be learned, but if you have experience outside of school with what you study, you move up in the queue. This year, our summer students focused on solving the hassle of fundraising, aiming to help fundraisers easily get and retain recurring donors using Vipps MobilePay. We do not yet know what next year's assignment will be, but our goal is for what is made by our summer gang to be used, and not just be left in a drawer with ideas.
You must therefore like to be thrown into things and be able to work well without a carefully specified role description. Everyday work will largely take place in the team with guidance from our superb mentors and sparring partners, when desired and needed. We will also involve you in some of the regular meeting points elsewhere in the company and not least social gatherings. The team will also have a social budget that you can use to do something fun together about once a week.
