Avdelingen utvikler løsninger for våre kunder gjennom forskning, utvikling og innovasjon innenfor områdene biofarmasøytika, medisinsk teknologi, nanomedisin, human helse, biopolymere og biomaterialer, sirkulær økonomi/bioraffineri, akvakultur og fiskehelse. Våre 80 medarbeidere har spisskompetanse innenfor disse områdene, og avdelingen har meget godt utstyrte laboratorier for molekylærbiologi, high-througput screening, fermentering og massespektrometri. Vi leder og er involvert i store nasjonale og internasjonale prosjekter, og har en rekke industrikunder som vi utvikler prosesser for. De utlyste stillingene er i Forskningsgruppe Industriell og marin bioteknologi. Forskningsgruppen består i dag av 14 personer med eksperimentell bioteknologisk spisskompetanse. Vi har en meget moderne og avansert utstyrspark som er særdeles sentral i forskningen vi utfører. Gruppen har tett samarbeid med nasjonal og internasjonal industri, universiteter og forskningsinstitusjoner og har en rekke prosjekter innen industriell og marin Bioteknologi. Gruppen har blant annet ansvaret for ledelse av SFI Industriell Bioteknologi, som akkurat har startet. Vi har god vekst og økende prosjekttilgang og trenger derfor flere høyt motiverte medarbeidere.

Vi søker en person som har stor interesse for eksperimentelt arbeide og interesse for å arbeide med avansert utstyr. Vi har avansert infrastruktur som innbefatter både robotiserte enheter for high-througput screening og en rekke andre utstyrsplattformer for dyrking av mikroorganismer og celler fra mikro skala til pilot skala, samt avanserte plattformer for analyse og karakterisering. Tidligere erfaring fra arbeid med avansert infrastruktur og bioteknologisk forskning vil være en fordel, men vi tar også gjerne imot søkere som er nyutdannet. Søkere med MSc eller bachelorgrad er aktuelle for stillingen.
Arbeidsoppgaver:
- Prosjektmedarbeider i bioteknologiske forskningsprosjekter, som vil innbefatte både planlegging, utførelse og rapportering av resultater.
- Bidra til drift og utvikling av våre laboratorier innen mikrobiologi, fermentering og biomasseprosessering.

The department is developing solutions for our customers through research, development and innovation within biopharmaceuticals, medical technology, nanomedicine, human health, biopolymers and biomaterials, circular economy/biorefineries, aquaculture and fish health. Our 80 co-workers have specialized competence within these research areas, and the department has state-of-the-art laboratories for molecular biology, high-throughput screening, fermentation, and mass spectrometry. We lead and are involved in large national and international research projects and develop processes for several industry customers. All projects are executed in close collaboration with customers and national and international universities and research institutes. The department consists of the research groups Industrial and Marine Biotechnology, Sustainable Biotechnology and Bioprospecting, Medical Biotechnology, Mass Spectrometry, and Polymer Particles & Surface Chemistry.
The announced positions are within the Industrial and Marine Biotechnology (IMB) research group. The group consists today of 14 employees with experimental biotechnology competence. We have a highly modern and advanced infrastructure platform which has a central position in the research we perform. IMB has a close collaboration with national and international industry, universities, and research institutes, and are involved in multiple large research projects. As an example, IMB is coordinating the recently started Centre for Research-based Innovation "SFI Industriell Bioteknologi". Our research group and project portfolio are growing, and we thus require additional highly motivated co-workers.

The ability to work in a team and in close interaction with customers and collaboration partners is of high importance. Description of the position:
We are looking for a person interested in experimental laboratory work and working with advanced equipment. We have a modern infrastructure platform including robotic units for high-throughput screening and several other instruments for cultivation of microorganisms and cells in micro- to pilot scale, and advanced analysis and characterization. Previous experience in working with advanced infrastructure and biotechnological research is desired, but we gladly accept applicants who have recently completed their education. Applicants with a masters or bachelor's degree will be considered for the position.
Tasks and responsibilites:
- Work in biotechnological research projects, including planning, execution and reporting of results.
- Contribute to maintaining and developing our laboratories within microbiology, fermentation and biomass processing.
