Trondheim is Norway's third largest city with 182 000 inhabitants. The city center is beautifully situated between the river Nidelva and the Trondheim fjord. Trondheim airport Værnes has direct flights to major European cities like Amsterdam, Berlin and London on a daily basis.
Information about the position: We are looking for one fulltime permanent position as Head Chef of the kitchen. You will be responsible for production and recipes of the restaurant, and following the restaurant concept. Our head chef must enjoy cooking, be a positive person and structured. All our companies share the same executive chef. It is therefore essential that you are able to collaborate with our executive chef for forming and developing our kitchen.
General tasks: - preparing food from the a la carte menu - following the HACCP-system requirements - employees and staff meetings - monthly schedule - order of goods and food - help to develop our food concept and menu. - Maintaining a good work environment
Requirements: You must also be service minded, structured and tidy. In the kitchen, you can count on hectic days and should enjoy high speed. Required language skill is English. You must both feel confident in talking in English and comprehend English documents. An applicant with good experience of meat and meat dishes will be prioritized.
Wages: NOK 25 000 - 30 000 gross pr. Month (~2700-3700 EURO), depending on experience and qualifications.
Housing: The employer will assist in finding housing. Candidate will pay a maximum of 5000 NOK per month.
Contract type: permanent, fulltime, shift.
Other information: The restaurant is located in the centre of Trondheim with short walking distance to all facilities.

About the company: We are looking for a head chef for our restaurant Frati in Trondheim. Frati is the oldest Italian restaurant in out city, established in 1973. The restaurant is family driven, and established by two Italian brothers from Bari. They wanted to give Trondheim the Italian spirit thru food, wine and service. The restaurants main focus is the Italian cuisine, with multiple delights such as pasta, pizza, meat and fish dishes. At day time, our restaurant makes most pizza and pasta, while the evenings the main focus is the meat dishes. Our company holds several Italian restaurants and one Italian cafe in Trondheim. To get an impression of our restaurants, please take a look at our website: www.restauranteritrondheim.no The kitchen is open everyday from 1500 till 2300, Saturday from 1400 till 2300 and Sundays from 1400 till 2230.
The restaurant is going thru a renewal, and is scheduled to move location in May 2015. By consequence the new restaurant will have a new and modern kitchen with good possibilities of personal developing. The new restaurant will have an open kitchen, with four major service sections; pizza, pasta, grill and cold/dessert. There will also be a visual pasta machine where we will produce homemade pasta. When Frati moves to a new location, the restaurant will be open from 11.00 to 23.00
