Through deep understanding of Yara's business needs and by building strong partnerships with stakeholders and suppliers, Indirect Procurement ensures that Yara is able to achieve great results, by bringing assurance of supply, quality, service and innovation, while significantly contributing to the Company's bottom line as part of the Yara Improvement Program.
As a Category Manager you will work closely with the other Sourcing and Category Managers for Professional Services, which together with Digital is a domain in Yara's Indirect Procurement organization. You will be working with internal stakeholders across all areas of the company, as well as external stakeholders across multiple sectors in the domain of professional services, in which Yara has an external spend of approx. 500m USD per year.

The role is located in Oslo, Norway at Yara's Headquarter.Responsibilities
- Develop / refine and execute the strategy for the relevant areas of the Professional Services category, hereunder consulting, legal, banking, finance and real estate and facility management
- Build close working relationships with your cross-functional stakeholders and lead a selection of initiatives, including business case development, to deliver value in line with Yara's strategy
- Manage, maintain and develop relations with main suppliers and partners. Continuously look to improve vendor performance whilst also optimizing the supplier cost base and innovation pipeline, and lead Supplier Performance processes for key suppliers across the business
- Demonstrate perseverance and tenacity, and the ability to communicate compelling and well thought out solutions to complex problems
- Conduct contract negotiations, tenders (RFP/RFI's) and manage the contract review / approval / records management processes
- In addition to delivering against common value targets, adopt a total cost of ownership mindset to drive new ways of working with the business and suppliers that add value
- Contribute and adhere to procurement policies and procedures to improve the compliance agenda and drive best practices
- Be a role model of Yara culture where health, environment, safety and quality are a top priority, including Yara's Corporate social responsibility and code of conduct
Profile
- Ideally a MSc in relevant business fields (finance, economy, logistics, engineering), though candidate with a BSc degree in business related fields plus relevant experience are encouraged to apply
- Relevant procurement experience (minimum 5-7 years) ideally experienced with managing projects
- Structured, with good organizational skill, a service minded attitude and with a strong ability to work independently
- Demonstrated successful stakeholder management with established high level of trust and confidence
- Commercial mindset with strong negotiation, contracting and supplier relationship management skills
- Bridge-builder with a ‘yes, we can'-attitude, and a collaborative, outcomes focused and pragmatic style
- Experience in working across cultural and geographical boundaries; English fluency is a must
