Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESØ To ensure that all maintenance work is performed safely, and in accordance with statutory and company regulations in accordance with good engineering practice Ø To liaise with the Maintenance Supervisor regarding maintenance/repairs and planning ahead so as to avoid the risk of delay through equipment breakdown. Ø Use preventative maintenance programme in accordance with Client/Company requirements and as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor. Ø Maintain preventative maintenance programme in accordance with Company repair and preventative maintenance procedures as directed by Maintenance Supervisor. Ø Ensure there is always an adequate stock of parts, tools and consumables required to maintain the equipment for which they are responsible. Ø Carry out and record isolations of electrically driven equipment to be worked on by himself and others under his supervision in accordance with the requirements of the Permit to Work System. Ø Supply information required for updating of any drawings, sketches or information on existing and replacement equipment. Ø Report any misuse of equipment to the Senior Company Representative / Maintenance Supervisor. Ø Safeguard the rig tools and instruments in their care. Ø Supply information for the completion of the company's reporting system data sheets e.g. Daily Operations Report/Weekly Goals/Weekly Safety/Repair/Replacement job cards. Ø Compiling a concise hand-over log for his relief at crew change, and forwarding a copy to the Maintenance Supervisor. Ø Offer technical assistance and electrical back-up as may be required for the safe operation of any equipment on the installation. Ø Carry out tasks as part of a multi-discipline maintenance team as operational requirements dictate. Ø Stand-in for alternative work discipline as required. Ø Complete any other reasonable tasks as delegated by Line Supervisor. Ø Attend at company base or client premises, meetings and additional training, as may be required.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESSafetyØ Perform COSHH assessment as required. Ø Bring to the immediate notice of the Maintenance Supervisor actual and potential hazards to safety, health, plant and equipment that come to their attention during the course of their work. Ø Be familiar with changes in regulations and requirements pertaining to the safe operation of electrical equipment in hazardous areas. Ø Carry out planned safety inspections as requested and in accordance with the Company Safety Policy. Ø Actively participate in using the STOP system and submit a minimum of one STOP card/day in accordance with ARCHER requirements Ø Properly use and care for personal protective equipment. Ø Attend meetings, emergency and life saving drills as requested and safeguard the welfare of themselves and fellow crew members.FinancialØ No financial responsibilities.Departmental DevelopmentØ To advise the Maintenance Supervisor of any gaps in their competence.Systems and ProcessesØ To comply with the Permit to Work systems in operation on the installation. Ø To understand and fully ustilise the Archer SMS system. Ø Know and understand the SMS RED proceduresQualityØ Ensure compliance to all relevant Company management systems and where applicable client procedures.
