On behalf of Cavotec we are looking for an experienced engineer to join the team at their office in Hell, Trøndelag.
In this role you will be a part of the R&D Department, which develop embedded radio remote control (RRC) systems. These systems are used for many industrial applications where both safety and reliability are an important issue. They are highly configurable and flexible to suit the customers' needs. You will mainly work with HW development for our inhouse designed products, so good understanding of electronics is mandatory. At Cavotec you will have exciting, innovative and challenging tasks in an inspiring, professional, technical and social environment. Home office is possible when on acceptable independent level of systems knowledge. At Cavotec you will be a part of a global and multicultural environment, with high commitment. Some traveling may be required as part of this role.
Work tasks and responsibilities:
- Design of embedded electronics
- Schematics and layout
- Choice of components
- Development and testing
- Technical documentation
- Maintenance of existing products and support on issues related to HW for RRC products
- Technical support to assist other parts of Cavotec with detailed technical knowledge
Who are we looking for?

You are analytical, structured, independent and can communicate and write technical reports. We also envision that you are a team player and have a natural drive for continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
Required: Education on BSc or MSc level within relevant areas such as electronics is desired, but relevant experience and personal interests may compensate for missing formal education. Communications skills, written and oral, English and Norwegian.
Preferred: : Minimum 3 years of experience from relevant positions. Knowledge within RF and radios, EX design would be an advantage. Also, knowledge about design tools such as OrCad, and relevant standards.
