Proactively meeting the continuously evolving standards for sustainable development in all parts of the organization and projects is central to our success. Therefore, we are looking for a Senior Advisor Sustainability to join our Sustainability team in Business Area New Energy Solutions (X). The team is responsible for providing sustainability support and advise to the BA asset portfolio, coordinate sustainability reporting and support with activities for all projects. The purpose of this position is to drive sustainability activities in projects and to coordinate sustainability reporting across BA X. Depending on the candidate there will be main responsibilities within the hydrogen or the biofuel portfolio.
You have a passion for developing the sustainability agenda for renewable energy projects and a keen interest in driving the green transition through business opportunities. Your key responsibilities will be:
- Support development of sustainability strategies and plans for projects in line with our corporate sustainability policy, including risk and impact assessments
- Ensure implementation of sustainability management in projects and follow up associated tasks
- Provide expert advice, guidance and training to project teams on sustainability matters throughout project decision gates and the project lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with relevant sustainability standards, regulations and guidelines
- Support with sustainability reporting across BA X
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance our reputation as a sustainability leader
Qualifications
- Higher relevant education, preferably at Master’s level
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience as a project leader
- Business mindset with a passion for sustainability
- Minimum 2 years experience and knowledge from working with ESG reporting and sustainability topics is required
- English and Norwegian language fluency is required

- Key sustainability topics, e.g. environment, climate and sustainable value chain
- Business integrated sustainability and how the agenda fits into overall business activities
- Practical application of key standards and frameworks
- Requirements like the EU CSRD and the implications of these
