Senior Legal Counsel - Oslo Statkraft

The Statkraft Group Legal Department currently consists of about 40 lawyers and has offices in Oslo, London, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Düsseldorf, Tirana, Istanbul, Delhi, Lima, Florianopolis and Santiago. We are now seeking an English law qualified senior legal counsel to primarily support Statkraft’s international construction projects. 

 Your Role 

• Provide analysis and high quality legal advice mainly related to contracts, construction, energy, company and anti-corruption law
• Drafting, reviewing and participating in negotiations of contracts
• Follow-up and advice in relation to contract management, i.e. on variation orders, claims and disputes
• Identifying and recommending measures to deal with legal risks for the construction projects as such and for the Statkraft group as a whole
• Manage relationships with external legal counsels 

Your Profile

• Excellent degree in English Law, preferably with LL.M 
• More than 10 years of experience in commercial legal work from top tier law firms and/or in-house, with substantial international experience in relation to construction projects
• Specialist in construction law and contract law. Knowledge and experience with energy, M&A and anti-corruption law
• Excellent communication skills in English, good command of Norwegian will be an advantage
• Analytical, efficient, independent, pro-active and solution oriented
• High personal integrity and ethical standards
• Good team player
