Communication & Public Affairs in Hydro is a global organization of around 45 people, closely integrated with Hydro’s operations and businesses, and working in a broad range of fields within the communication and public affairs trade. We are a diversified team, with a balance of experienced and young talents. The unit in Oslo consists of close to 20 people, and we are now looking for a full-time resource to work within corporate and CEO messaging.
Area of Responsibility
You will join two colleagues in developing strategic messages in Hydro, providing dedicated support to the CEO, corporate staffs, and business areas. This is a strategic, tactical, and operational role, aimed at developing our overall messaging in a variety of external and internal areas. These range from Hydro’s annual leadership summit and capital markets day for international analysts and investors, to meetings with politicians, regulators, non-government organizations and internal forums. For the right person, this is a unique opportunity to make visible impact through insight and understanding across all areas of Hydro’s business and operations. Some key tasks:
- Provide corporate and CEO messaging support, from strategic development to operational execution
- Contribute with expert communication perspective to communication needs and deliverables
- Translate corporate staff requirements and issues into communication priorities and actions
- Be an active advisor to corporate staff in communication matters
- Address day-to-day internal and external communication needs
Qualifications
- University degree
- Experience from messaging in relevant fields, such as finance, strategy and/or communication
- Business understanding, communication skills and service mindedness
- Ability to produce high quality content in a high paced environment, consistently and efficiently
- Fluency in English and Norwegian, written and spoken
- Flexibility to travel
