Service Engineer, UPS Service
As a Service Engineer in ABB AS, EP Division you will be a part of a great team of professionals who are responsible for all service activities in the Division. The activities includes testing, installation, commissioning, spare part sales, consulting, product training, maintenance, service, repair, upgrade and retrofit. Our customers are located in both Norway and the rest of the world, and our main
markets are Oil & Gas, Marine, Offshore, Land based Industry, Infrastructure and Utilities. Our main products are Low- and Medium voltage Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS), Electrical Vehicle Chargers and Protection Relays. Extensive travel activity must be expected.
Your main responsibilities:
- Perform service and maintenance on UPS at customer sites
- Installation and commissioning of new UPS systems
- Participate in the on-call duty team for UPS Service
Qualifications:- Technical College or University degree (B. Sc.) in Electrical Power Engineering, Electronics or Automation (long and relevant experience as Service Engineer may compensate for lack of formal education)
- Certificate of apprenticeship (Electro)
- Good understanding of UPS, Electrical Power Systems and industrial communication protocols like SNMP, MODBUS, PROFIBUS, etc.
- Experience as a Service Engineer in the Maritime, Offshore or Industry sectors will be an advantage
- Fluent English and Norwegian; written and spoken is a requirement
- Driving License class B is required

The base for this position is preferably Billingstad in Asker, but Skien may also be OK. In any case, extensive travel activity must be expected.
