What we need
The ideal candidate should be analytical yet commercial minded. A flair for dealing with data and applying it in an operational and commercial way. A deep understanding of the offshore industry is preferable, as is a wide contact network. Excellent English skills both written and oral as well as fluency in Norwegian is a must.
Duties include
Data gathering, analysis and subsequent forecasting on the market going forward in combination with brokering duties
- Work in close relationship with the brokers with assistance and guidance of the market
- Take part in commercial tasks, such as tender deliveries, shipbroking and rate guidance
- Communicate with the press and key clients on the company's opinion on the market
- Create market reports and presentations
- Coordinate social media and ensure reports are distributed to correct channels
- Develop and maintain wide network within OSV industry
Skills required
The preferred candidate must be outgoing and hold a wide skill set.
- Several year's offshore industry experience, either as seafarer or relevant onshore work
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Shipping/Business/Science desirable
- Excellent command of English
- Strong IT knowledge
- Knowledge of online marketing and content marketing
- Comfortable speaking in front of high ranking clients as well as large audiences
