Do you want to work at the intersection between energy and technology and have a passion for the shift towards a greener and more sustainable future? Maybe you're also looking for your next adventure - to be part of the development of a new and existing product that will take the energy sector into the future? Then Cegal SYSCO has the job for you! We are recruiting to the team that is working on the Connected Energy Hub product. This is a SaaS solution for handling the MAFIK (metering, settlement, invoicing, collecting and customer service) process in the energy sector.

The solution is a modern, cloud based and modularized answer to the existing legacy on premise installations that are prevalent in the energy sector today. We are 100% cloud based and have a modern Azure based stack that gives us the flexibility to focus on development of new functionality and providing continuous value to our customers.

We are looking for an in-house backend developer to take the product to the next level as we increase the functionalities delivered by our solution. If you are a person who has strong opinions about how good development is done and what tools that enable teams to work efficiently then this is a perfect fit for you. We believe in autonomous teams that are empowered to create awesome products. If you are looking for something more, we are also looking for a person that can take on a backend lead role and that both likes working hands on but also with longer term architecture changes.

About the roleAs a backend developer/lead, you will:

  • Together with a competent team, build scalable, high-performance backend services.
  • Work closely with our customers to understand their challenges and opportunities
  • Take part in the entire development process, from idea to implementation
  • Influence what kind of features you participate in, and what kind of roles you have in the development of them
  • Together, we will solve important challenges for current and future customers

Who are you?

  • Strong experience building applications with C# and ASP.NET Core
  • You have experience with one or more of the following databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
  • Experience with building Maturity Level 3 RESTfull APIs
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
  • Able to implement solid, high quality, and easy to support solutions
  • Advanced English (both spoken and written)
  • You are active in your field and always up to date on the latest trends and technologies
  • You have good communication skills
  • You have excellent collaboration skills and are highly motivated to work in teams where you get energy from sharing your knowledge with others

About the hiring process:
