Application operation consultant Tietoevry

Our department is responsible for Application operation 24x7 for our customer's applications on z/OS platform. The responsibility lies with day-to-day operations management, automation, reporting and implementation of new and changed solutions.

TietoEVRY is in a rapid development to adopt new methods and tools to operate z/OS in a safe and future-oriented way. z/OS platform is constantly renewed and Z15 machines are installed for many of TietoEVRY's customers. The platform has a unique capacity to perform transaction and data processing.

Are you a person who would like to work with IT operations on z/OS (mainframe) with many challenges. You must be able to work independently, be careful and curious about new things. You must also be able to work in teams and be customer friendly.

To meet our customers' needs, we now want to expand our support. TietoEVRY is therefore looking for 2 new colleagues for exciting tasks in a demanding environment.

Tasks in the department:

• Operational control, exception handling and batch follow-up according to agreed processes (IPC)

• Proactive work with improving operational routines, automation and optimization of the customer's value chains.

• Customer contact with own and the customer's suppliers.
• Operational management of batch and planning systems IWS and ZEKE.
• Test and implementation of new and changed applications in all operating environments, according to agreed processes (IPC)
• Documentation of systems and solutions.
• Participation in various projects and customer deliveries.
• Participation in 24x7 standby service.

Wanted qualifications but not a demand. Relevant training will be given.

• Basic knowledge of z/OS platform and applications on the platform.

• Knowledge of networks and data transmissions
• Knowledge of process work as a form of work
• Good ability for independent and targeted work with a focus on operational stability and satisfied customers
• Very good English skills orally and in writing.
• Understanding of working in collaboration with many suppliers.
