Job Description

We have an open position as Technical Project Manager in OMC in Trondheim.The marine market is developing and has shifted from large offshore construction vessels to passenger traffic and fishery vessels. The majority of these vessels are battery powered in some way. Siemens is the leader in the battery/hybrid market segment hence we experience a lot of both exciting and challenging projects. We are shaping the future of shipping.This job comprises an exciting mix of HW engineering, coordination of the various technical packages in marine projects, and the overall technical responsibility for the project. You will work closely with the customer on solution and interfacing third party vendors. Internally you will coordinate and follow up the project team lead engineers (including fabrication) and work closely with the PM and CPM.  The position is Technical Project Manager, and reports to the head of PM and TPM department. Workplace is Trondheim. Some travelling is needed in each project, most of it scheduled way ahead.

We seek a candidate with:

• background from marine business
• preferably hands on competence for Siemens Marine DEP projects and/or commissioning
• the candidate must have a minimum B.Sc. degree or higher education within electrical engineering
• minimum 5 years of relevant practice
